Project snapshot

Goal

Developers add logos with one line of code. They use standard identifiers such as ISIN, symbol, or BIC.

Outcome

Logostream began as a hobby project with curated airline logos for download. It became a logo API. Today it is a complete SaaS with a payment provider (Polar.sh) behind it.

AI in use

Coverage check for customers

  • During the coverage check, the AI quickly analyzes data for customers.

News API in the product

  • We have a news API in the product.
  • The news API curates news.
  • It assigns logos that match the airline in question.

The product

Overview by category

Overview graphic of the logo API on a black background. Five colored bars name the categories Stocks, ETFs and Funds, Bonds and Treasuries, Banks, and Crypto. Under each bar are two rows of company logos. At the bottom right is the Logostream logo.

Standard identifiers

Product graphic with the title Simple Integration with standard identifiers. On the right are four dark cards for BIC or bank ID, ISIN or symbol, crypto symbol, and forex. Each card shows an example identifier and the matching logo.

Airlines and travel

Integration in one line

Product graphic with the title Integrate everywhere with a single line of code. On the right, an example logo shows the forms Logo, Icon, and Icon XS. At the bottom is the line of code with the address of the API. It has a note about the four paths.

Fintech

Logos for financial products

  • The API covers stocks, ETFs, funds, bonds, banks, crypto, and forex.
  • The overview sorts the logos by category.

Note on the logos

  • The logos shown are trademarks of their owners.
  • The graphics show only what the API delivers.

Identifiers

Standard identifiers

  • The API finds banks by BIC or bank ID.
  • It finds stocks by ISIN or symbol.
  • It finds cryptocurrencies by symbol.
  • It finds forex by a currency pair such as USDEUR.

Airlines

Logos for airlines and travel

  • The project began with curated airline logos as downloads.
  • The same principle now applies to the API.
  • It delivers logos for airline and travel applications.

Integration

One line of code

  • An img tag with the address of the API is enough.
  • The graphic shows three forms: Logo, Icon, and Icon XS.

Technology in the background

  • Cloudflare delivers the logos.
  • TwicPics converts the images.
  • Supabase stores the data of the backend.
  • Polar.sh is the payment provider.
  • Claude supported me during the build.

Integration in one line

This is how the example appears in the product graphic. The page does not call the API for it.

Example with the symbol ISRG.

Four paths for the identifiers

  • stocks/symbol
  • stocks/isin
  • banks/bic
  • crypto/ticker
